IIT Indore scholarships: The Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Ind0re) provides scholarships to worthy and deserving students every year. Some scholarships are given in the form of college fee concessions and some come as direct benefit transfers to the students' bank accounts. List of scholarships and eligibility 1. National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), for and on behalf of the Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, provides scholarships to students with disabilities under the following two scholarship schemes: a. Scholarships Scheme (Trust Fund): - Under this scheme, 2000 scholarships will be awarded to eligible students with disabilities for degree and postgraduate level professional and technical courses from recognized institutions in India. - 30 per cent of scholarships will be reserved for girls, which will be transferable to male students in case of the non-availability of female candidates. - Applicants may apply at any time in the academic year for a scholarship under this scheme. - Scholarships will be awarded quarterly basis for the applications received in the preceding quarter. Under this scheme, an advance copy of the application should also be submitted online (nhfdc.nic.in) by the candidate. - Reimbursement of non-refundable fees restricted to the limit of fees of similar courses in government/ government aided institutions. Maintenance allowance will be paid to the students for 10 months Rs 2,500 per month for professional graduate courses and Rs 3,000 per month for professional postgraduate courses in one academic year. - Books/ stationery allowance will be paid to students pursuing professional graduate courses Rs 6,000 per annum and Rs 10,000 per annum for pursuing professional postgraduate courses - Differently-abled students, in addition, will be provided financial assistance for the purchase of aids and appliances (only once during a lifetime). - Monthly income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian should not be more than Rs 25,000 (Rs 3,00,000 per annum) from all sources. Family income includes the income of parent - A Scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the course. b. Scholarships Scheme (National Fund): - Under this scheme, 500 scholarships will be awarded to eligible students with disabilities for pursuing higher academic/professional or technical qualification. - Applicant has to apply online (nhfdc.nic.in) for scholarship and scholarship shall be awarded once in a academic year under this scheme. - Scholarship of Rs 1,000 per month for hostellers and Rs 700 per month for day scholars studying in professional courses at graduation and above level, and Rs 700 per month for hostellers and Rs 400 per month for day scholars pursuing Diploma/Certificate level professional courses. - Course fee reimbursed up to the ceiling of Rs 10,000 per year. - Financial assistance can be given for computers with editing software for blind/deaf graduates and post graduate students pursuing professional courses and for support access software for cerebral palsy students. - Monthly income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian should not be more than Rs 15,000 (Rs 1,80,000 per annum) from all sources. Family income includes income of parent Scholarship holders under this scheme will not concurrently hold any other scholarship 2. National Fellowship and Scholarship For Higher Education of Scheduled Tribe Students: The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to deserving Scheduled Tribe students to enable them to pursue higher education after completing post-graduate degree. Course Duration MPhil 2 years or date of submission of dissertation, whichever is earlier MPhil + PhD 2+3 = 5 years or date of submission of dissertation, whichever is earlier PhD 5 years or date of submission of dissertation, whichever is earlier Eligibility: - Post-Graduation and should have taken admission in the universities covered under the category. - The candidates should have a minimum of 55 per cent marks at the final examination/grading at the PG level.
