ICAI CA Final, Inter Results Updates: ICAI May 2024 result at icai.nic.in, meet the toppers

The AIR 1 cleared his CA final exams at both groups – I and II, in his first attempt. He was also placed in AIR 50 in the CA foundation exam held in 2019 and AIR 20 in the intermediate level exam in 2020.

The New Delhi boy Shivam Mishra cleared his CA final exam and is placed in AIR 1 in the first attempt.

Candidates are required to score at least 40 per cent in each paper and a minimum of 50 per cent overall in each group to qualify the ICAI CA inter and CA final May 2024 exam.

To check and download the CA final May 2024 results, candidates will have to use their six digit roll number and registration number in the ICAI CA result login window. The official website to check the ICAI CA result is icai.nic.in.

Candidates qualifying CA inter May 2024 exam will be required to undergo a practical training and three years of articleship under a practicing CA. Candidates who have cleared only Group 1 in CA inter can still apply for the practical training. They are required to clear both intermediate groups in order to apply for articleship. Only after completing the 3 years of articleship period will a candidate be allowed to apply for CA final examination.

Now that the ICAI has declared the CA May 2024 final exam result, a total of 20,446 candidates qualify as CAs.

The AIR 1 Kushagra Roy from Bhiwadi has obtained 538 marks (89.67 per cent). Two candidates have obtained AIR 2 -- Yuj Sachin Kariya from Akola and Yogya Lalit Chandak from Bhayandar. They have scored 526 marks (87.67 per cent). AIR 3 as well is shared by two candidates -- Manjit Singh Bhatia from New Delhi and Hiresh Kashiramka from Mumbai. They have scored 519 marks (86.50 per cent)

Shivam Mishra has scored 83.33 per cent (500 marks). The AIR 2, Varsha Arora obtained 480 marks while AIR 3 Kiran Manral and Ghilman Saalim Ansari have scored 477 marks each (79.50 per cent).

In Group I, 74,887 final year exam candidates appeared of which 20479 passed taking the pass percentage at 27.35 per cent while in Group II, 58,891 students appeared of which 21,408 qualified the exam. The pass percentage is 36.35 per cent. In both groups, 35819 candidates sat of which only 7,122 passed scoring overall 19.88 per cent.

Of the 1,17,764 candidates appearing in the CA group 1 inter exam, as many as 31,978 (27.15 per cent) have qualified. In CA Inter group 2, a total of 71,145 candidates appeared for the exam and of them, 13,008 passed (18.28 per cent). As many as 59,956 candidates appeared for both groups and only 11,041 (18.42 per cent) passed.

To check and download the CA Inter 2024 results, candidates will have to insert their six digit roll number and registration number in the ICAI CA result login window.

In addition to the final and inter results for the May 2024 CA exams, the ICAI has also released the CA inter UNITS exam result.

The CA inter November 2023 AIR 1 Jay Devang Jimulia scored 691 marks out of 800. His overall pass percentage was 86.38 per cent. The AIR 2 scored 688 marks, while the AIR 3 obtained 668 marks out of 800 in the CA inter November 2023 exam.

As many as 8,650 candidates qualified as CAs in the November 2023 exam. 

Candidates will also be given the provision to verify their CA Inter and Final May 2024 exam results. The icai.nic.in website will announce the CA May 2024 result scorecard verification date after the declaration of the result.

The final exams of CA are also held in two groups -- group 1 and group 2. While the CA final exams for group 1 were conducted on May 2, 4 and 8, the group 2 exams were held on May 10, 14 and 16.

ICAI announced a new education and training for the CA course. The CA Foundation, Intermediate and Final new scheme 2023 came into effect on July 1, 2023. The first session for CA intermediate and final under the new scheme was held in May 2024.

Students will be required to keep the ICAI CA final admit cards ready to check the CA results. The ICAI registration number and date of birth are the required credentials to check and access the CA final results.

The ICAI CA result link will be made available at icai.org.

To successfully clear ICAI CA inter exam, candidates need to score at least 40% in each individual paper and a minimum of 50% overall in each group.

In the CA inter Group I exam held in November 2023, as many as 19,686 have passed out of the total 1,17,304 candidates appearing, taking the pass percentage to 16.78. Similarly in CA group II inter exams, 17,957 candidates passed out of 93,638 taking the pass percentage to 19.18 per cent. In both groups, 53,459 candidates appeared and only 5,204 passed. The overall pass percentage was 9.73 per cent.

The final exams of CA are also held in two groups -- group 1 and group 2. While the CA final exams for group 1 were conducted on May 2, 4 and 8, the group 2 exams were held on May 10, 14 and 16.

The CA inter exams are held in groups - group 1 and group 2. ICAI conducted the May 2024 inter group 1 exams on May 3, 5 and 9 and the group 2 inter exams were held on May 11, 15 and 17.

According to ICAI, the CA result date and time is July 11, 11 am.
