(Representative image/ Express photo)Gujarat GSEB Board SSC Class 10th Result: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has announced (May 11) Class 10 result. The GSEB Class 10 results was announced in a press conference. The link to download the mark sheet is also available and active on the official website, gseb.org.
This year, the overall pass percentage is 82.56 per cent. It is an observable jump of 18 per cent from last year’s 64.62 per cent.
GSEB has released the Gujarat SSC Result 2024 on May 11 at 8 am. The Gujarat Board students who have appeared for their Class 10 board exams can check the results at gseb.org.
Last year, 64.62 per cent students passed the class 10 exams, which is a marginal decline from 65.18 per cent in 2022. Like majority of state and national education boards, in Gujarat, too, girls performed better than boys as girls had an overall pass percentage of 70.62 per cent, while boys had 59.58 per cent.
While the overall pass percentage improved, schools with less than 30 per cent results increased from 1007 in 2022 to 1084 last year. On the other hand, schools with 100% results declined from 292 in 2022 to 272 last year.
Meanwhile, recently, GSEB declared the HSC Science and general stream result 2024, in which Class 12 science results recorded 82.45 overall pass percentage which is an increase from 65.58% from the previous year. Similarly, general stream recorded at pass percentage of 91.93% which is a jump from 73.27% in March 2023.
This time, English medium students performed better than Gujarati medium with a passing percentage of 67.18 per cent. 65.32 per cent Gujarati medium students passed HSC Science stream exams last year. In a similar manner, in class 10 results of 2023, Sindhi medium, with 5 students who appeared in Class 10 exams, secured 100 per cent results. Among the three major mediums — Gujarati, English and Hindi — English medium recorded the highest pass percentage of 81.90, followed by Hindi with 64.66 per cent and Gujarati 62.11 per cent.
