The University of Delhi has announced an on-the-spot mop-up admission round in physical mode for undergraduate seats that remain vacant after Mop-up Round 1. According to an official statement, this round will be conducted on the basis of Class 12 marks or equivalent examinations and not through CUET scores. The university clarified that programme-specific eligibility as outlined in the Bulletin of Information (UG) 2025 will apply.
The registration window for the on-the-spot mop-up round will open at 5 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, and close at 11:59 pm on Friday, September 19, 2025. Vacant seats across colleges and programmes will be published on the admission website at admission.uod.ac.in.
Already registered candidates who are not admitted to any programme at the time of the announcement can apply through their dashboard under the mop-up tab. Those who have not yet registered on the CSAS (UG) 2025 portal can participate by submitting a fresh application on the admission portal along with a one-time non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000, in addition to the regular registration fee. The university has clarified that students who are already admitted to a programme in any college will not be eligible to apply.

Candidates must ensure that their personal and academic details are updated and accurate. According to the notification, any discrepancy between marks entered and those reflected in the official marksheet will result in cancellation of the offer. The submission of valid and updated documents is mandatory, as admissions will not be granted based on undertakings for delayed submission. The mop-up round will not apply to supernumerary quotas, except for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
Allocations and admissions under this round are tentatively scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Candidates will be invited on the basis of merit and availability of seats. An invitation letter with the reporting date, time, and venue will be sent to shortlisted candidates via email.
The admission process will take place in physical mode at the university. Candidates must report in person, as no representatives will be allowed. Entry to the venue will only be permitted on the basis of the invitation letter. Allocation of seats during this round will be final, with no provision for upgrades or withdrawals.

If a candidate fails to pay the admission fee online immediately at the time of allotment, the seat will be cancelled and reassigned to the next eligible candidate. Non-reporting within the stipulated time will also lead to forfeiture of the admission claim. In addition, any deficiency in documents discovered during verification will result in cancellation of candidature. The university has clarified that appearing in this mop-up round does not guarantee admission.
Applicants will be required to carry originals along with self-attested copies of their invitation letter, CSAS (UG) application form, Class XII marksheet and certificate, Class X marksheet or date of birth certificate, and a valid government-issued identity card such as Aadhaar or passport. Reservation or category certificates, wherever applicable, must also be presented.
The university has advised candidates to ensure they have sufficient funds in their bank accounts for on-the-spot fee payment, as failure to complete the transaction will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat. Students are also advised to regularly check their emails for the invitation letter and instructions.
