How did I prepare for CUET?

As I had already prepared very thoroughly for my boards, my concepts were clear. I only needed to practice for CUET and for that, I joined a crash course and also ordered a few books to practice from them.

Which books did I order?

Oswal publications, Arihant publications and books by Sandeep Garg. Rest, I practised from the material provided by the coaching.

What was my study schedule like?

During the initial days of my preparation, I would divide it into three parts — revise the topics, practice MCQs from reference material and attempt chapter-wise mock provided by the coaching. As exams got closer, I would give full length mock tests.

What was my CUET score?

I appeared for five subjects— English, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics and Mathematics. I secured 100 percentile in English, Accountancy, Business Studies and Economics. I secured 99.62 percentile in Mathematics. My raw score for the best four subjects was 800 out of 800 and the normalised score was 799.64 out of 800.

What do I feel about the normalisation method?

CUET UG 2023 was conducted for over a month in multiple shifts, therefore the difficulty level varied from one shift to another. I believe that normalisation brought everyone on the same level. It is a good and fair method.

Advice for students appearing for CUET?

Don’t worry too much, the course is similar to boards, practice more MCQ based questions and believe in yourself.
