The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will today (August 16) begin the registration and choice-filling process for the CSAB 2024 supernumerary round at the official website — csab.nic.in. Eligible candidates must complete the registration and choice-filling process by August 19.
The seat allotment result for the supernumerary round will be announced on August 20 at 5 pm. Following the allotment, candidates will need to upload the necessary documents, pay the Supernumerary Seat Acceptance Fee (SSAF), and complete the online verification process for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates between August 20 and August 22, 2024.
For candidates from General (GEN), General-Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS), and Other Backward Class-Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) categories, the seat acceptance fee is Rs 45,000. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and PwD categories who have received their first allotment are required to pay Rs 25,000. Fees paid during JoSAA-2024 or CSAB-2024 Special Rounds will be adjusted towards the CSAB-2024 SSAF, with candidates required to pay the balance amount.
The supernumerary round offers admissions based on JEE Main 2024 ranks to National Institutes of Technology (NIT) Calicut, NIT Durgapur, and Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat.
Candidates who are allocated a seat in the supernumerary round must upload several documents on the CSAB 2024 portal, including their Class 10 certificate or birth certificate, Class 12 mark sheet, and, if applicable, a category certificate. Additionally, candidates with disabilities should upload their UDID Card or PwD certificate, along with proof of state eligibility and a medical certificate.
Candidates are advised to complete the registration and document submission promptly to secure their seats in the desired institutions.
