
CHSE Odisha 12th Arts Result 2023 Updates: The Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha released the result of the HSC or +2 exam result for the Arts stream from the Bhubaneswar office. Once released, +2 students can download their score cards from the official CHSE websites — orissaresults.nic.in, chseodisha.nic.in.
A total of 1,81,869 students passed Odisha Class 12 exams 2023 from the Arts stream. The overall pass percentage is 78.88%. As many as 67.48% students passed vocational studies exams this year.
The CHSE exams were held in an offline mode between March 2 and April 4 from 8 am till 10 am. Along with Arts, the board will also declare results for vocational stream. Students need to score a minimum of 33 per cent overall to pass Odisha plus two exams.
Last month, the board declared Science and Commerce stream results. In the Science stream, the board recorded an overall pass percentage of 83.93 per cent while in commerce total of 24,082 appeared of which 19,526 passed in the board exams recording a pass percentage of 81.12 per cent.
As many as 67.48 per cent of students cleared the examinations in vocational studies this year. The pass percentage among boys in vocational studies was 64.23 and it was 71.10 for girls.
Regarding the dip in pass percentage, the department secretary said, "We cannot use this result as a yardstick since the pass percentage is better than that of pre-COVID times." The higher secondary board exams were held this year with a 100 per cent syllabus, while students had appeared for the tests with a 70 per cent syllabus last year and 50 per cent in MCQ format, she said.

This time, 102639 boys appeared for Odisha Class 12 exams, and their overall pass percentage was recorded at 31.35 per cent. In the girls category, 127906 students appeared and recorded a pass percentage of 47.52 per cent.
A total of 233853 students registered for the Class 12 exams, out of which 230545 students appeared and 181869 passed the exams.
This time, the overall pass percentage of the Arts stream has been recorded at 78.88 per cent.
This time, boys have outshined girls by scoring an overall pass percentage of 33.84 per cent, in comparison to 33.63 per cent scored by girls.
This time, in the Vocational stream, the CHSE Odisha has recorded an overall pass percentage of 67.48 per cent. A total of 5,862 students had registered, out of which 5,720 appeared and 3,860 students cleared the Class 12 exams.

The CHSE Odisha Class 12 Arts result has been declared in a press conference.

This time, the CHSE observed a decline in the overall pass percentage of Commerce and Science stream. The Board said that "since CHSE has conducted the examinations in pre-Covid pattern, there is a decline in the pass percentage. Also, students who appeared plus-II this year had appeared board exam for the first time. They had not written the matriculation exam in 2021 because of Covid," said school and mass education secretary IAS Aswathy S
Those who do not score this much will be given the opportunity of appearing for supplementary exams. Details about the supplementary exams will soon be released by the state education board on the official websites.

Students can download their certificates, mark sheet and migration certificate from Digilocker soon. The details for the same will be released after the result declaration.

Last year, over 170 students scored more 90 per cent in the CHSE Odisha 12th 2 Arts Result. Whether or not that number will increase this time is yet to be seen.
In 2022, girls outperformed boys as 32.46 per cent cleared the exams, which was much less than the 49.64 per cent of girls who have been labelled as 'pass' this year.
In 2022, a total of 28 higher secondary schools have recorded 100 per cent results.

The plus two Commerce and Science results were declared by School and Mass Education Minister Sudam Marndi and Secretary Aswathy S (IAS) on May 31 at 11 am.

The supplementary exams for CHSE Odisha plus two is likely to be conducted in August.
Studens will be able to download their marksheets for Commerce and Science stream from DigiLocker app from June 10 onwards.

A total of 3,21,508 students appeared for the Arts, Commerce, Science and Vocational streams. The exams were held in 1,133 centres across the state.
In 2022, the overall pass percentage for Arts stream was 82.10%. Khordha district was the best performing region last year with 87.80 per cent pass percentage. And, Nabarangpur district recorded the lowest percentage.

The board exams for Arts stream began on March 2 and concluded on April 5. While for Science stream it began on March 1 and ended on April 4 and Commerce stream exams began on March 2 and concluded on April 4.
This year, the pass percentage in Science and Commerce dipped drastically. In Science, the pass percentage fell from 94.12% in 2022 to 83.93% in 2023, and in Commerce, it fell from 89.10% in 2022 to 81.12% in 2023. As per School and Mass Education secretary Aswathy S, it is due to the exam pattern. Under the Mukhyamantri Medhabruti Puraskar Yojana, the Odisha governmet will award Rs 5,000 each to the top 100 students. The scholarships will be given to around 40,000 students.

A total of 1,133 examination centres were set up to conduct the +2 exams in the state. A total of 3,21,508 students in Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational streams had appeared for the examinations at different centres.
The CHSE Odisha will today release the score cards for Plus 2 exams at 4 pm.
Last year, the results for all the three streams was announced on the same date - August 8. The pass percentage of the science stream was 94.12 per cent which was the highest in comparison to the commerce and arts stream. The pass percentage of the commerce stream was 89.2 per cent and the arts stream pass percentage was 82.10 per cent, lowest amongst the three streams.
