Here’s a look at when the CBSE results were declared in the past few years:

In 2023, the class 10 exams were conducted from February 15 till March 21, which is similar to this year’s datesheet. The CBSE board exam results last year were released on May 12, with the overall pass percentage for class 12 at 87.33 per cent, and Class 10 at 93.12 per cent.

Year Exam dates Result date
2018 March 5 – April 4 May 29
2019 February 21 – March 29 May 6
2020 Exams Cancelled July 15
2021 Exams Cancelled August 3
2022 Exams were held in two terms. Term I was held in November – December and Term II was held in May – June 2023. July

In 2018, the class 10 exams were held between March 5 and April 14, but the result was declared on May 29 after 44 days, and in 2019 the result was declared on May 6.

However, when Covid-19 pandemic took over the world in 2020 and the a worldwide lockdown was imposed, CBSE cancelled the exams for two years — 2020 and 2021 — and the result declaration was postponed to July 15 and August 3, respectively.

It took the board almost a year to come back to the usual schedule, because of which even in 2022 the results were declared in July. However, this may also have been because the CBSE board exams for classes 10 and 12 were held in two terms in 2022 academic year — term I was held in November – December and term II was held in May – June.
