CBSE Board Class 10th, 12th Result 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 13 announced Class 10 and 12 results 2024. Students can check and download their scorecards from the official website — cbse.gov.in. and results.cbse.nic.in.
To collect the original mark sheets, students need to visit their respective schools a few days after the Class 10 and 12 result declaration. To check the online result for the class 10 board exam, students are required to have their roll code and roll number. Last year, the result of the board exam was released on May 12, 2023.
Over 1.32 lakh candidates have been placed in the supplementary category or compartment in class 10, while the number of such candidates in class 12 is over 1.22 lakh. Based on National Education Policy, 2020 recommendations, the CBSE had last year changed the nomenclature of the compartment examination to supplementary examination.
CBSE has also released the schedule for verification of marks, obtaining (scanned) photocopy of the evaluated answer book(s), and re-evaluation of answers.
As per the official schedule, processing charges for verification of marks are Rs 500 per subject. In case of a change in marks, the first communication that marks have been changed (increase/ decrease in marks) will be uploaded/ hosted on the official website.
Only those candidates who have applied for verification of marks online will be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy of answer book(s) in that/those subject(s), which will be available at Rs 700 per subject.
Following this, if any candidate desires to challenge the marks awarded to any answers, then he/she will have to apply online (as per the schedule) for re-evaluation of answers. Request for re-evaluation/ challenges will be accepted only for the theory portion at Rs 100 per question.
Step 1: Visit the official website – cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in
Step 2: Navigate to the section of “2024 Results” and then click on the class 10 results link
Step 3: Enter your Roll Number and Roll Code in the designated fields
Step 4: After this, your Class 10 board result 2024 will appear on the screen
Step 5: Click on the “Submit” button to view your result
Step 6: Download and save the result for future reference
CBSE will also release the results on Umang mobile app and scorecards will also be available on DigiLocker.
Step 1: Visit the play store if the student is an Android user or App Store if the student is an iOS user.
Step 2: Go to services section and visit CBSE.
Step 3: Enter your registered mobile number and login with either OTP or MPIN.
Step 4: Enter your required credentials like registration number or roll number.
Step 5: Download and save the result for future use.
Step 1: Students can visit the URL — cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in/activatecbse — for initiation of the DigiLocker account confirmation process.
Step 2: To confirm your DigiLocker account you have to select your class first either 1- or 12. Then, enter your school code, roll number, and 6-digit security PIN (the PIN shall be provided by your school), and then click “Next”.
Step 3: An OTP will be sent on mobile. Now enter OTP (One time password) received on your mobile number and click on the “Submit” button.
Step 4: Your DigiLocker account will be activated. Upon successful confirmation, click on “Go to DigiLocker account”
Step 5: In case, if you are already a registered user of DigiLocker i.e. your mobile number is already registered with DigiLocker, you may be prompted with the following message i.e. “Please click on Go to DigiLocker account”.
Marksheets and other certificates will be made available in their account when the results are announced.
The Class 10 and 12 results can also be checked through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). To check CBSE results via voice system, students need to dial the number, 24300699, along with the code of their area preceding the given number.
Students should remember that the call would be charged at 30 paisa/minute for a single roll number.
