CBSE Board Class 10 Result 2023 Declared: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today declared the Class 10 board exams results. Students who appeared in the exam can check the results at the official websites— cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in, and umang.gov.in.
The exams were conducted from February 15 to March 21. The exams were conducted for a total of 36 days. This year the pass percentage of Class 10 is 93.12 per cent registering 1.28 per cent from previous year’s 94.40 per cent.
Thiruvananthapuram was best performing district registering a pass percentage of 99.91 per cent, while Guwahati came 16th with 76.90 per cent passing percentage.
A total of 21,84,117 students registered for the exam (full subjects) out of which 21,65,805 students appeared for the exam. And, 20,61,779 students cleared the exam.
JNVs secured a pass percentage of 99.14 per cent followed by KV with 98 per cent. Independent schools came third with 95.27 per cent, CTSA came fourth with 93.86 per cent pass percentage followed by government aided at 81.57 per cent and government schools at 80.38 per cent.
Over 3.08 lakh students have scored above 90 per cent marks in the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams while over 66,000 secured scores above 95 per cent. CBSE has discontinued the practice of announcing merit lists and awarding divisions on the basis of marks to discourage unhealthy competition among the students.
In Class 12, 1,12,838 (1.12 lakh) students have scored above 90 per cent and 22,622 candidates secured above 95 per cent marks. In Class 10, 1,95,799 (1.95 lakh) candidates have scored above 90 per cent marks while 44,297 have scored above 95 per cent.
Meanwhile, PM Modi also congratulated the CBSE students through his Twitter handle.
