BSEB Bihar Board 12th Result 2024 Official Link: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna today (March 23) declared the Bihar Board 12th Result. Students can check their results at the official BSEB websites — bsebinter.org, results.biharboardonline.com. The pass percentage this year increased to 87.21 per cent for all the streams combined. The pass percentages in science, arts, commerce and vocational are 87.80 per cent, 86.15 per cent, 94.88 per cent and 85.38 per cent, respectively.
While as many as 5,24,939 students have obtained the first division, 5,04,897 students have scored second division marks and 96,595 got third division marks this year. A total of 12,91,684 appeared the BSEB inter 2024 exams.
This year, the BSEB 2024 inter exams started on February 1 and continued till February 12, and the Bihar Board released the answer keys for the BSEB inter MCQ type questions on March 2. The result is declared within 21 days of the completion of exams.
In the science stream, as many as 6,17,334 students appeared and 5,42,008 students qualified making the pass percentage 87.80 per cent. As many as 6,34,480 students took the exams in arts and out of them, 5,46,621 students passed the exam and in commerce, out of the total 39,658 students, as many as 37,629 students qualified.
In 2023, as many as 1,08,202 students have shifted from CBSE, CISCE and other state boards to BSEB to appear for the inter exams, an official release from the Bihar Board issued today said. In 2022, it was, however, 1,13,210.
BSEB will start the application process for Class 12 result scrutiny and compartment exams from March 28 to April 4. The Bihar board scrutiny is for those candidates who are unsatisfied with the recently declared Bihar Board 12 result and want to get their copies rechecked to improve their marks, while the BSEB compartment exams are for those students placed in the compartment category.
Last year, the overall pass percentage for BSEB inter was 83.70 per cent, which was a three per cent increase from 2022’s 80.15 per cent. In 2021, the overall pass percentage was 78.04 per cent, which was a decline from 2020’s 80.44 per cent. Before this, the passing percentage was not crossing 80 per cent. In 2019, the overall pass percentage was 79.76 per cent and 52.95 per cent in 2018.
Generally, girls have outperformed boys in BSEB 12th result. In 2023, too, girls performed better than boys. Commerce topper Somya Sharma and Rajneesh Kumar Pathak secured 95 per cent, Science topper Ayushi Nandan, got 94.8 per cent and Arts/ Humanities topper Mohaddesa, scored 95 per cent.
