The BSEB Matric result was announced by the state Education Minister Chandrashekhar and the BSEB chairman Anand Kishore in a press conference. This year, the overall pass percentage of the Bihar Board is 81.04 per cent. Md Rumman Asharf is the topper this year with 97.8 per cent (479 marks out of 500). Namrata Kumari and Gyani Anupama got the second rank. Sanju Kumari, Bhavna Kumari and Jaynandan Kumar Pandit achieved the third rank.
A total of 16,10,657 students appeared for the Matric exam, out of which 8,19,737 were girl students and 7,90,920 were boys. The total number of passed candidates is 13,05,203, out of which 6,61,570 were boy students and 6,43,633 were girl students.

In the past years, BSEB was among those states that declared the inter and matric results in June. However, since 2021 they introduced a slew of measures in the exam pattern because of which they release the result in March, before any state or central board

In the BSEB Intermediate exams, girls dominated the top positions, in the matric exam Mohammad Rumman Ashraf from Islamia High School Sheikhpura secured the number one position with 489 marks (97.8%). However, girls still dominate the merit list.

In Class 10, this year 16,10,657 students appeared for the Matric exam, out of which 8,19,737 were girl students and 7,90,920 were boys. A total of 4,74,615 (2,73,933 boys and 2,00,682) earned the first division, 511623 students got second division (2,49,311 boys and 2,62,312 girls), and 2,99,518 students got third division.

The BSEB Matric result will be declared by the state Education Minister Chandrashekhar, in a press conference, which will also be attended by the Bihar Board's additional chief secretary and BSEB chairman Anand Kishore.
Apart from the result, the education minister will announce the names of the toppers along with the name of their school and district today. The press conference for result declaration will begin at 1:30 pm
The registration process for compartment exams will begin after the result declaration. The exams will likely be conducted in May.
Class 1-8 students will be promoted to the next higher class even if they don’t pass the exams, said a notification released by the Secretary, Basic Education Council. Students of all council schools and recognised schools run under the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council will be given admission to the next class as per the rules. Last year, the total pass percentage was 79.88 per cent. Ramayani Roy was declared the topper of BSEB Class 10. She scored 487 marks. The first division was achieved by 4,24,857 students, as many as 5,10,411 students secured the second division and 3,47,637 got the third division.

Simultala Awashiya Vidyalaya Jamui, a school which have produced many toppers over the years will be the highlight of the result. After the topper controversy in Bihar board, the board had decided to verify the marks and answer sheets of the toppers before declaring the result. Bihar Board's Class 10th overall pass percentage continues to improve over the years and is expected to be over 80 per cent this year. In 2017, 50.12 per cent students passed the exam which improved to 68.89 per cent in 2018 and 80.73 per cent in 2019. Bihar was one of the few states to conduct board exams during pademic years and also showed a comparatively better result in these years. In 2020. the board recorded 80.59 per cent pass percentage which dipped to 78.17 per cent in 2021 and later improved to 79.88 per cent in 2022

In 2022, the board declared matric results on same date as this year, March 31. The results for class 10 exams were delayed last year as the Bihar Board Matric (class 10) board exam for math was rescheduled in mid-March due to paper leak allegations. The exam, which was conducted on February 17, was rescheduled to March 24 from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. The exam was re-conducted as several students and others had claimed on social media that the question paper for the mathematics exam was leaked before the exam.

Bihar Board released the answer key for objective-type questions asked in the Class 10 board examination (matriculation) on March 6.
