Ishan Uday Scholarship: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has started the application for the Ishan Uday Scholarship for the North Eastern Region (NER). The applications can be found on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). The last date to register for the application is October 31. The Ishan Uday Scholarship for the students of NER of the University Grants Commission (UGC) is implemented through NSP. Also, the students who have availed the Ishan Uday Scholarship in the academic year 2023-24 can apply for renewal, if eligible by October 31 for the 2024-2025 academic year. The scholarship is open to those students who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a school situated within NER through a recognised Board of Education. Only the students, who are already admitted in the first year of UG degree programme through ‘regular or full time’ mode, are eligible to apply. The scholarship is available for those students only, who are pursuing a recognised UG degree programmes as specified and notified by UGC from time to time. In case of ‘integrated’ and ‘dual degree’ programmes, the scholarship will be payable for the UG component only. The income of the parents of the student should be below Rs 4.50 lakh per annum.
