Due to flood, the educational institutions in Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallore remained closed due to the flood. The Anna University (AU) has postponed the entrance test and interviews for the Ph D/ MS programmes scheduled on Dec 5. According to the Director Research, the dates will be announced later.

Anna University and University of Madras-affiliated colleges have postponed their exams for various courses, including semester examinations. The University has also postponed its 36th Convocation which was scheduled to be conducted on Dec 11.
