CPM leader Sattar Mollah,who was arrested Wednesday in connection with the murder of a Trinamool Congress worker in Bhangar,could not vote in Friday’s elections after the Calcutta High Court,which was hearing his plea,disposed of his petition,saying there was not enough time to implement the court’s order. Justice Sanjib Banerjee was hearing Sattar’s plea urging the court to allow him to vote while alleging that his arrest was part of a political conspiracy. Sattar was arrested along with five other party workers,but police did not seek his custody.
