(Express Photo) President Droupadi Murmu graced the opening of the Tulip Garden at Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President, in Chhrabra near Shimla on Tuesday. The garden boasts of several tulip varieties, including Strong Gold, Denmark, Velemark, Jumbopink, and Laptop, and will be open for visitors and tourists from April 23.
The Rashtrapati Niwas, previously known as the ‘Presidential Retreat’ in Mashobra, will also be thrown open for visitors from April 23. This will give tourists the opportunity to take a look at the variety of tulips in the garden. In addition to this, visitors and adventure enthusiasts can explore the nature trails and orchards at Rashtrapati Niwas.

During her visit, President Murmu strolled around the Rashtrapati Bhawan premises and also inquired about other varieties of plants. She was accompanied by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who also took a walk around the Tulip Garden after its inauguration.

The opening of the Tulip Garden and Rashtrapati Niwas is expected to attract a significant number of tourists to Shimla, who can now enjoy the beautiful gardens and scenic beauty of the area.
