Pune Metro’s Vanaz Ramwadi phase fully functional Yerwada station opens today

The route from Pimpri Chinchwad to Swargate is likely to be fully operational from next month as the work for underground Metro service including its station from Civil Court station to Swargate is nearing completion.

The Metro corridor from Vanaz to Ramwadi will now be fully operational as the Pune Metro is set to open the Yerwada Metro Station for commercial operation on Wednesday. The operational hours will be from 6 am to 10 pm.

Work on the Yerwada station was going on though the Metro service had begun on the route except for Yerwada station. Now, the entire Metro route from Vanaz to Ramwadi will be fully operational and will connect Yerwada to the rest of the Metro network and Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad city, significantly benefiting the daily commute of students, professionals, and residents travelling to and from Yerwada, including those heading to schools, colleges, and IT hubs.

Maha Metro Managing Director Shravan Hardikar said, “We are glad to announce the opening of Yerwada Metro station, marking a significant milestone in our journey to provide efficient and convenient public transport to the citizens of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad city.”

Meanwhile, the Pune Metro rail is undertaking the extension of the Metro route to Nigdi from Pimpri Chinchwad and Katraj to Swargate.
