City-based designer and event manager Rashmi Bindra is all set to host a Woman’s Day extravaganza

International Woman’s Day is around the corner and Rashmi Bindra is working towards making it a special occasion for women in the city. A fabric designer who hand-paints,Bindra has in the past also organised lifestyle exhibitions,is a wedding planner,a poet and in her latest avatar she’s an interior designer. She’s now putting together a lifestyle and fashion exhibition for women of all age groups. To be held in Hotel Mountview on March 5 and 6,this will feature 55 exhibitors from Chandigarh,Mumbai,Jaipur and Kolkata,most of whom are showcasing their designs for the first time in city.

As far as the designer line-up goes,there’s Jaipur-based Emerald Queen that’s bringing in fusion and Indo-Western outfits using the traditional fabrics of Rajasthan. Mumbai-based designers Nergiss & Veera,famous for Gara sarees will be part of the exhibition along with Cyynasure with tunics and sarees; Kruchi with kurtis; Radha by Rina Thakkar and Style Zouk by Harpreet. Coming in from Delhi are names like Deep Sharma with The Design Studio; Sukriti will bring in Lucknowi suits. Others who are participating in the show include Tek Chand Handloom House,Xaoon,Sheetal & Archana from Rohtak,Dolly Ahuja’s Kin Khwab,Sakhi from Jalandhar,Dulhan from Ambala,Aura By Gunjan Nagpal,Aartha,Flirtt from Panchkula,Aalna,Designer Style,Sonia’s from Chandigarh.

The Woman’s Day special will also make space for jewellery brands from the region like Voyala Jewels,Ludhiana along with Orra,PC Jewellers,Kanhai Jewels,Mumbai,Sapphire Creations,Jaipur,S Mehra Jewels Delhi,Tashya from Panchkula,Just Silver to list a few. The line-up of home accessories and interiors will include products by Living Marvels,Home Naaj Décor,Gujrat Hasthkala,Delhi,Admire Home Collections,Panchkula and Wellhome from Chandigarh.
