Woman robbed at gunpoint

Three unidentified men robbed a 35-year-old woman at gunpoint at her railway ticket booking centre in Warje on Friday. Kiran Pravin Naik has lodged a complaint at the Warje Malwadi police station.

The Naik family runs a shop that makes trophies,medals and awards. At their Nilanjan Awards shop in Anushka Nagar,Warje,Naik also runs a railway ticket booking centre. Around 2 pm,three persons entered the shop in the pretext of booking railway ticket. They hit Naik on her head with a hard object and by pointing a gun on her,robbed her of gold ornaments and Rs 39,500,said the police.

Senior police inspector Shamrao Mohite of Warje police station said the three robbers were aged between 25-30 years. “All were speaking in Hindi. We have launched search for them,” said Mohite.
