Spokespersons of Aashay Sanskrutik on Friday announced the names of awardees who shall receive honours at this years Pulotsav,which begins on November 23. Pulotsav Kritignata Sanmaan,an award of gratefulness,is being awarded to the late Narendra Dhabolkar. The award shall be received by Dhabolkars children Hamid and Mukta.
The Pulotsav Smriti Sanman Award shall be given out on November 24 to celebrated playwright Mahesh Elkunchwar,who has more than 15 plays to his name,along with his theoretical writings,critical works and contribution to Indian parallel cinema as an actor and playwright.
The Pulotsav Lifetime Achievement award shall be handed out to Balwant Moreshwar Purandare on November 25. Purandare is a historian,writer and theatre personality from Maharashtra. His works,exemplified best by Jaanta Raja,are mostly based on the life of Shivaji. Bela Shinde (playback singer),Pushkar Shotri (theatre actor) and Girish Kulkarni (National Award-winning actor,writer and producer) will receive the Pulotsav Tarunaai Sanmaan,recognising young talent.
