We-Poke

We Poke at the current state of Indian Television. The Indian economy is growing,but when it comes to TV shows,we still are applying an old theory. The theory is that television is for entertainment alone,and does not contribute to the personality development of the viewer. I strongly disagree with that,and feel that watching TV is like reading the newspapers or studying for that matter. The hands-free approach with which shows come up also bother me,there seems to be no regulation. How else can you explain programmes like Bigg Boss ,Rakhi Sawant Ka Insaaf or Roadies ? They show mindless violence and encourage it. But more disturbing is the hopelessness of them all,these shows deliver no message whatsoever.
