Valencia mayor visits city

Mayor Dominic Ricketts of the city of Valencia,France,on Saturday assured the Pune Municipal Corporation assistance in resolving the traffic problems of the city along with promotion of renewal energy.

In a meeting with Mayor Mohansingh Rajpal and civic officials during a visit to PMC headquarters,Ricketts said that that Pune city was growing very fast and needed to resolve its traffic problem. Valencia has expertise in traffic management that could benefit Pune,he said.

Mayor Rajpal welcomed the Valencia mayor and said the PMC would also seek assistance in promotion of renewable energy.

Valencia city ensures use of solar energy by every household,he said, the similar initiative with the help of Valencia city officials will be explored by the civic body.
