Two booked for cheating youth

The Pune police have booked two persons for allegedly cheating a youth of Rs 23,800 by sending him a fraudulent email giving fake assurances of providing him a job in multinational companies.

The Pune police have booked two persons for allegedly cheating a youth of Rs 23,800 by sending him a fraudulent email giving fake assurances of providing him a job in multinational companies. The victim,Ganesh Balkrishna Atkale (23),a resident of Juni Sangvi,lodged the complaint in the case at Sangvi police station. The suspects have been identified as Raghavendra Rao and Shrihari Jaya.

Police said Atkale got an email from the suspects in February 2011,saying they are employees of a Bangalore-based firm Technotree and would provide him a job in IBM or other leading MNCs. Later,the suspects also contacted Atkale several times on his cellphone. Giving fake assurances to provide him the job,they allegedly made him pay Rs 23,800 between February 24 and April 13,2011.

Atkale lodged a police complaint after he realised that he was being cheated.
