Bridging the gap,Khel Tamasha focusses on the life of artistes in tamasha troupes. With noted actors Milind Shinde,Kishor Nandalskar,Milind Oak and Anil Nagarkar among others,the film will showcase the lives of people behind this entertainment industry that thrives majorly in villages. The film has been written and directed by Ashish Pujari.
Classic Traditions
The two-day Amritanjali festival will begin in the city from April 6. Primarily a festival of classical dance and music aimed at keeping the age old traditions alive,it has been started by Shashikala Ravi,Founder-Director of Amritanjali School of Bharatanatyam in Pune. The festival will be held at Amritanjali Dance Studio,Viman Nagar,from 6 pm to 8.30 pm. It will feature a Kuchipudi recital by Soumyasree Vaddadi from Aurangabad; Carnatic vocal recital by Srilatha Sundararajan; Shakuntala a solo ballet presented in Mohiniyattam by Ayswaria Wariar from Baroda; Ramayana by Ravi and her disciples and Shri Gurubhyo Namah a bharatanatyam recital.
