Traffic diversion on Mumbai-Bangalore Highway at Chandani Chowk; check dates and timing
The Centre, through the NHAI's Bharatmala project, has undertaken the project to construct an integrated bridge at the Chandani Chowk junction.

The traffic control branch of Pune City police has announced a three-hour traffic diversion on the Mumbai-Bangalore Highway at Chandani Chowk in Pune between 12.30 am and 3.30 am everyday till July 15.
The diversion has been put into effect to facilitate the installation of nine girders for the construction of an vehicle overpass. The movement of heavy vehicles is being completely stopped on the highway during this period.
The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, through the National Highway Authority of India’s (NHAI) Bharatmala project, has undertaken the project to construct an integrated bridge at the Chandani Chowk junction. Officials said work on the project is in the final stages and the construction is around 95 percent complete. The construction of the sub-structure of the vehicular overpass on the Pashan-NDA stretch is complete and the nine girders are planned to be installed by July 15.
In an order issued on Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic Control Branch) Vijaykumar Magar announced the traffic diversions which will remain in force till July 14. Between 12.30 and 3.30 am everyday, the light vehicles, including light four wheelers, on Mumbai Bangalore Highway, will be diverted before Chandani Chowk.
Vehicles from Satara to Mumbai are being diverted via Ved Bhavan service road. Vehicles from Mumbai to Satara are being diverted via Ramp Number 6. The heavy vehicles coming from Mumbai are being stopped at Talegaon Toll Plaza on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway and at Somatane Toll Plaza on the Pune-Mumbai Old Highway. Heavy vehicles coming from Satara are being stopped at Khed Shivapur toll plaza.
