Three of a family arrested for murdering neighbour

The Yervada police arrested three members of a family,including a woman,for murdering their neighbour over a trivial issue.

The Yervada police arrested three members of a family,including a woman,for murdering their neighbour over a trivial issue. The incident occurred at around 10.30 pm on Friday.

Shashikant Vilas Kore (38),a resident of Maharashtra housing boards Rajmahal Society is the name of the victim. The police have arrested suspects Chandrakant Dixit (46),his wife Supriya Satish Dixit (42) and son Suyash Satish alias Joy Dixit (18),all residents of the Rajmahal Society. Shankar Baburao Padwal (62),chairman of the society filed a complaint with the police in this regard.

According to information given by Subash Neve,Police Inspector (Crime), Kore was working with Pune Municipal Corporation and Dixit in a private company. Kore and another society resident Shashikant Kanade had a bitter quarrel on Friday night at around 11 pm over the issue of children playing cricket in the society parking space. While the duo were fighting,Satish and Supriya arrived on the scene they questioned Kore as to why he had abused chidren playing cricket in the society premises. On hearing this,Kore got furious and started abusing Supriya.

Neve said that Satish and Suyash got enraged and beat up Kore. Other society members soon arrived on the scene and tried to stop the fight.

But Suyash hit Kore with a weapon on his neck and fled the scene.

Kore suffered was seriously injured and the society members rushed him to a private hospital,where he succumbed to his injuries.
