The Route to U2

Mumbai-based alternate groove rock band,The Beatroute will try and create some of the U2 magic at High Spirits,Koregaon Park,on Sunday,December 8.

Mumbai-based alternate groove rock band,The Beatroute will try and create some of the U2 magic at High Spirits,Koregaon Park,on Sunday,December 8. This tribute to the Irish rock band that has won 22 Grammy Awards will have Eeshan Tripathi (Keyboard),Vignesh Iyer (Guitar),Biswajit Chakroborty (Bass),Gregory Sarma (Vocalist) and Toobloo (Skins). The Beatroute is the brainchild of Tripathi and Gopal Dutta (drummer). They started off by playing covers ranging from U2,Incubus,to Maroon5,Coldplay,and Wolfmother. They’ve now started composing their own music which will be released soon.

Make Your Kites & Fly Them Too

As Makar Sankranti draws near,one spots brightly coloured kites decorating the sky. Inorbit Mall,Nagar Road,has organised a ‘Kite Making’ workshop on January 7 and 8 as part of its community building exercise. At this free workshop,conducted by Shilpa Shaha,participants can learn the art and technique of making kites out of paper and plastic and even personalising their design. The workshop will be held from 12 noon to 6 pm.
