The website of the Film and Television Institute of India is undergoing a change to ensure that it enables the students to be connected to the institute
If things go according to plan, the website of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) will undergo a transformation of sorts with the current black and white, red and sepia tones of the site being replaced with a brand new template that is not only more interactive for the general public but one that will help students, the administration as well as former students to be connected better.
The website as of now gets over 1.5 lakh hits a month and according to the authorities there is a probability of advertisements being posted on the website that will help in generating more revenue. The institute will also initiate a designing contest wherein they will be inviting students from Symbiosis,National Institute of Design,Sir JJ School of Arts as well as the students at FTII to design a template for the website. We will have a contest for the same with three prizes of Rs 21,000,Rs 15,000,and Rs 10,000 for the same, says Cyriac. Another interesting concept that the director hopes will materialise is the creation of an online library of all the films made by the students. that will also be available to the general public for a nominal fee. In addition work is also on to generate institute based email ids for the students and the members so that they can stay in touch with their colleagues and their seniors and industry personnel, along with an in-house blog where industry personnel can post requirements for their movies, and where the students can upload their resumes so that everyone within the industry can have access to it.
