Students wait for PMPML passes continues
On Saturday,Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Asheesh Sharma said they have passed a resolution to pay for free PMPML passes for students. We will pay whatever amount is required for the free passes to students in Pimpri-Chinchwad, he said. PMPML spokesperson Deepak Pardeshi,however,said they have not yet received the copy of the resolution. As soon as we receive the copy,we will start the scheme , said Pardeshi. Till then,thousands of students from Pimpri-Chinchwad will have to wait.
Housing scheme for poor: no decision yet on ratePimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Asheesh Sharma today said the PCMC was committed to providing flats for economically weaker sections as promised. But we havent worked out the cost so far. It has not been finalised whether the flats will be available at Rs 3.50 lakh or Rs 7 lakh, he said.

Online bank fraud:Rs 92,000 withdrawn from victims account,In an Internet banking fraud,Rs 92,000 were electronically withdrawn from the bank account of Sucheta Charudatt Dhekane on Wednesday. Vishrambag police have registered a case of forgery against three persons,Shekhat Das,Shukla Das (both from Kolkata) and Nilesh Dandekar of Mumbai. On Tuesday,an unidentified person got the details of Dhekanes Bank of Maharashtra account,Navi Peth branch,by sending a fake e-mail. Using the details,the accused transferred the amount to one of their bank accounts. Senior police inspector with Vishrambag police station Motichand Rathod is investigating the case. No arrests have been made yet.
