The black comedy returns

The cult classic,’Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ returns to the theatre on November 2,2012. NFDC Cinemas of India in association with PVR Director’s Rare will re-release the digitally restored version of Kundan Shah’s film across PVR cinemas in 11 cities. “Hats off to NFDC and PVR Director’s Rare for taking this initiative to re-release my film again. I am very excited and hoping that the audiences are as excited as well to watch Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro in theatres!” says Kundan Shah. The film with the cast of Naseeruddin Shah,Ravi Baswani,Om Puri,Pankaj Kapur,Satish Shah,Bhakti Barve and Neena Gupta was released in 1983. Advance bookings for the film starts on September 28,on the PVR website.

Comic Timing

Comedian Tanmay Bhat will bring the city its dose of laughter on Saturday,at Phoenix Market City as part of the Weirdass Comedy act. The event,part of the mall’s Showmen’s Stage series will take place from 8 pm onwards. Tanmay Bhat has been on the stand-up comedy circuit since 2009 and regularly performs at The Comedy Store in Mumbai.
