On April 1 and 2,Tain Square at Fatima Nagar will come alive with the beauty of acrylic colours. Artist Giram Sujit Prakashrao’s paintings will be displayed here between 7 and 9 pm. Born and brought up in the countryside,his work is inspired by his past and his favourite subject is rural India. “I like to paint about village life. I want to show the real life of villagers and how they live in peace,” says Prakashrao who has studied art from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya. Using acrylic colours,he brings to life the simple life in rural areas. This is his sixth solo exhibition in the city. “Art is a medium that brings happiness to society at large,” he feels.
