Teacher booked for ‘molesting’ colleague

The Wanawadi police have booked a teacher working in a city school for allegedly molesting and threatening to defame a female colleague. Police said they were yet to arrest the accused as he is currently being treated for injuries due to an accident.

The complaint said the suspect had been harassing her since June 2013 and was also sending her SMSes.

He allegedly started threatening her after she did not respond to the messages.

The complaint added that the suspect threatened to defame her and later went to her house and allegedly molested her. Police have booked the suspect under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code.
