Sungard Technology Services beat S1 by 46 runs in the Cybage T20 Inter-IT cricket tournament held at the Poona Club cricket ground on Sunday. S1 won the toss and elected to field. Sungard managed to score a massive 204 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Geet Desai scored a brilliantly-constructed 103 runs of just 43 deliveries and helped his team on to a huge total. Aditya Kulkarni supported him well with a quickfire 78. The second wicket partnership between Desai and Kulkarni for173 runs was crucial in the team's victory. In reply S1 managed to score just 158 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Shashank Dittakavi displayed some good fight with a gritty 61 runs of 33 balls which included 5 fours and 4 sixes. Azhar Merchant gave him able support with a quick fire 27 but it was not enough in the end. Amit Narnaware was Sungard's strike bowler picking up 2 wickets for 20 runs. The opening stand between Dittakavi and Rohit Rane of 76 runs showed some promise but the rest of the middle order could not carry on with the same momentum and Sungard won the match by 46 runs.
