Strong support for BJP within Muslim community

It is a myth that the Muslim community does not support BJP,said Dr Nahida Shaikh,national secretary of the BJP minority cell,while addressing a press meet in the city. She said there was enough awareness among the community and there is strong support for the BJP,adding that Gujarat is a prime example where the community is happy with a BJP government.
She said the Congress was only interested in playing vote-bank politics and the party remembered the community only during elections.
It is a farce that they support us as they have not done anything for us and the Sachar samiti report is an example, she said.
She came down heavily on the UPA governments policies which never did anything for the community. “People are beginning to understand that the UPA is playing mere politics and in reality do not want to address our concerns,she said.
Even the central governments 15 point programme is only on paper and is not implemented in letter and spirit.
She also spoke out against Varun Gandhi,and said that they do not support his actions at Pilibhit.
