Once the examinations are over, the district administration is planning special camps at colleges for distribution of various certificates such as domicile, caste and income certificates.
The district collectorate witnesses huge crowds and last minute rush of college students and their parents, especially during April,May and June to collect domicile, income and other certificates, which are essential to complete the admission procedure to professional courses.
We have been going to the campuses and the drive is picking up, said Jayashree Katare Sub Divisional magistrate and in-charge of Citizens Facilitation Centre at the collectors office. This year, the administration had planned a special drive at every junior college in the city and the surrounding areas for issuing of certificates. The drive was aimed at avoiding last minute rush and over burdening the CFCs.
The collectorate plans to hold camps at colleges after the Class XII examinations. A meeting of school principals will be called soon to discuss and execute plan. The initiatve has received good response in schools, wherein around 30,000 certificates have been distributed so far.
The district administration boasts that of the 350 schools,250 schools participated in the drive. Around 30,000 certificates have been issued to students at their respective schools so far, while around 7,000 certificates will be issued in the next few days. The administration is also deliberating to upload the same on its website. This will help the applicants avoid visiting the CFCs to procure the form.
