Software techie booked for wife’s suicide attempt

Pune police have lodged a case against her husband,a software engineer,and in-laws.

After a woman allegedly attempted suicide by hanging herself at her residence,the Pune police have lodged a case against her husband,a software engineer,and in-laws. The police have identified the woman as Trupti Avchat (30),resident of Sinhagad Road. Complaint has been filed against husband Siddhesh Avchat (35),father-in-law Ashok Avchat (69),mother-in-law Alka Avchat (65) and Sheetal Kamatkar. “The accused subjected her to severe mental and physical torture,following which she attempted suicide on November 4,” the police said.

JEE on April 6

The All India Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for engineering will be conducted in the state on April 6. The online sale of applications will begin on November 15. From the next academic session,admission to engineering colleges in the state will be done based on marks obtained in the entrance and class XII examinations.
