Former World Champion Pankaj Advani entered the last-16 stage of the Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth National Snooker Championships,outplaying K Venkatesham of Railways 4-0 at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana yesterday. Alok Kumar,Devendra Joshi and Manan Chandra of the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board,along with Anuj Uppal and Yasin Merchant of Maharashtra also entered the knockout stages. Uppal and Merchant scored one-sided victories over Faisal Khan and Rafath Habib respectively to move into prequaterfinal round.
