Be it a therapy,a celebration,an act to propagate peace or for that matter,a reason for friends to unite music has always been an important feature of any gathering. Paying tribute to the art that can win over hearts and minds,Kalapini is organising a musical function Antarnaad Sangeet on September 27 at the SNDT College for Women. Apart from renditions and performances by artistes like Pt Rajendra Kulkarni (flute),Avinash Patil (tabla),Manjeri Alegaonkar (vocalist) and Chinmay Kolhatkar (harmonium),the event will also witness a felicitation ceremony for Pt Mohan Karve,Pt Umesh Moghe and Pt Dadasaheb Patil.

Rock band Tungztn plans a musical tour in collaboration with Hard Rock Café. The tour begins with a performance at Hard Rock Café in Pune on September 24. While the second performance is scheduled for September 29 in Mumbai,dates for the performances in Delhi and Bangalore are yet to be announced. The highlight of the event is that the set of songs will include all original numbers from various genres. The show will have compilation of original,already-released and yet-to-be-released songs. Moreover,we have numbers from four different genres like retro,rock ballad,new age alternative and melodic metal, says Shital Chandra Kulkarni. The band comprises of Shital Chandra Kulkarni (guitar and backing vocal),Abhijit Ranade (base and main vocal) and Dannay (drums).
