Short Film Fest
Due to the advancements in digital technology over the last few years,attempts are being made to explore the possibilities of the medium through the form of short films. The youth,especially,seem to have found an affordable and approachable medium to express themselves audio-visually. In order to provide a strong platform to these youthful expressions Saee-Kiran productions,Mumbai has organised The Third Wave Short Film Festival,which will be held on May 16,7.30 pm onwards at the Sudarshan Rangmanch in Shanivar Peth. Lapandav (Tanmayee Deo),Creating A Role (Mandar Deshpande),Trishanku (Dnyanesh Zoting),Maartya (Swapnil Kapure),Pankh (Abhivyakti Patil) and A Family Drama (Tanmayee Deo,Dnyanesh Zoting) are the six selected short films that will be screened as a part of the festival. The tickets will be available at the venue one hour prior to the event.

Chit chat
The recently held event,DSK Gappa,saw a host of prominent personalities including music director Ashok Patki,young politicians Praniti Shinde & Pankaja Munde-Palave,Marathi veteran actor Ashok Saraf,leading Marathi actress Mukta Barve and others interact with the audiences from May 6 to 9. Ashok Patki with his troupe presented a musical program titled Shabdasur Jingle to Cinema on the first day while May 7 saw heartthrobs from various hit Marathi serials like Mukta Barve (Agnihotra),Satish Rajwade (Agnihotra),Sidharth Chandekar (Agnihotra),Sai Tamnankar (Anubandh),Prasad Oak (Avghachi Sansar) have a hearty dialogue with audiences in the programme Maliketil Mandali .On May 8 the famous reel and real life pair of Marathi cinema Nivedita and Ashok Saraf had a live tete-e-tete with audiences in the programme Paddyamagil Raja Rani. The concluding day saw the Rajkiya Varasdar programme being held,where people had an opportunity to listen to new promising entrant into politics,Praniti Shinde,Pankaj Munde and Amit Deshmukh,speak. Sudhir Gadgil along with Rajesh Damle compered the show.
