Shades of musicWith Easles and Grills,Malaka Street at Malaka Spice will be adding colours to the evening with Sachin Kolhatkar and Rao Saheb Gurav,who will be creating magic on canvas right in front of your eyes. The event,Easles and Grills aims at capturing the essence of artists painting live to music and providing a common platform for them and art lovers to interact. Kick startParticipants of the Asian Open Kickboxing Championship were felicitated in traditional Puneri way at a city-based gym. Rohan Pusalkar of the gym honoured them by giving them traditional Puneri Pagadi,after the demo session of kickboxing at the gym. Edgar (Holland),Mojtaba Scorpion (Iran),Saeid Eftekharian (Iran) and Rajeet Walia from India participated in a kickboxing demonstration,which was well attended and enjoyed by the kickboxing enthusiasts,who were present. The players also shared some basic tips,while interacting with the members of the gym. They said that they understand the importance of the pagadi and are feeling honoured after receiving it. Commemoration of humanityTo express condolences for the victims of attack on the German Bakery,common people of different fraternity draped in white T-shirts staged a candlelight march and took pledge for patriotism,communal harmony and solidarity of the nation at the building adjacent to the actual blast site,which also inflicted sabotage in the blast. Mansi Jain,who runs a dental clinic in the same building says "Around two thousand people have lighted candles to commemorate for the friends who lost their lives,we are trying to show the unflinching spirit of the city and send strong message that our fortitude is not going to bow down". Art performers,spiritual healer and other celebrities added a touch of colour if not entertainment to the protest march.
