Mime a act
While exposure to students studying in the field of communication is something that is imperative for ensuring that they understand the finer nuances of the same, one can easily come up with more and more innovative tools for the same. And doing just that was Expressions Unlimited! – Pune’s Speech,Drama and Communication Skills Academy, when they organised a private viewing of Asaktaa Kalamanch’s new play JUNGLENAMA for it’s students. Speaking more about the event that was held on Saturday director of the academy Mahrukh Bharucha says,“My rationale for organising the event was that it is necessary for students to be exposed to different kinds of drama, mime, music, movement and style, notwithstanding the language in which the performance is presented.”

Say it aloud!
Poetry usually is not considered a performing art, endowed subtly by words and rhymes in text. But interestingly spoken word poetry is an art that has given poetry a brand new cover. Conventionally been delivered by Homer and Shakespeare, the version in fact is coming back in vogue. Delivering the same to Puneites,Sarah Kay a spoken word poet from New York was in the city on Saturday at Mocha on Law College Road for a performance. Kay who has been performing since the age of 14 and has performed all over the world will also be conducting a workshop on the same on Sunday,11 am at Open Space,Off Law College Road. Kay has been performing since the age of 14 and has performed all over the world.
