The scare game
As predicted,rumoured and proved,Ram Gopal Varma is back with sequel of his horro flick Phoonk. Named Phoonk 2,the film will hit the theatres on April 16. The film will be about black magic and a fathers concern for his daughter life, says Varma at a press conference in the city. Written and directed by Milind Gadagkar,the films story will begin from where Phoonk ended the spirit of evil woman coming back from the dead and brutally murdering the tantrik. After going through with the script and first cut,I can assure you that it is the scariest film bollywood has ever made,but it will be up to the audience,how they react to it, he said. The film will come out in three languages Hindi (Phoonk2),Tamil (Bommai-2) and in Telugu (Aavaham). Interestingly,Phoonk was directed by Varma himself but this its sequel will be directed by Phoonks script writer Milind Gadagkar,under Varma production. Like Phoonk,there will be a scare contest for the audience in Phoonk2 also. A viewer has to watch the entire film alone in a theatre and to monitor his/her heart beat and pulse,an ECG machine will be connected. Based on the recordings of ECG machine,the winner will get reward of Rs five lakhs.

Artists will be creating magic on canvas right in front of your eyes as Easles and Grills will be hosted once again this week by Malaka Spice. It aims at capturing the essence of artists painting live to music and providing a common platform for them and art lovers to interact with each other and develop a greater understanding and love towards art. The concept is unique because the venue is Malaka Street,which as the name suggests,actually feels like you are at a street with artists and art-lovers comfortably can chat over street food like Satays and experiment with Korean BBQs by grilling your own meats and vegetables and to make it even more interesting. The event will be held at the restaurant on Lane 5 Koregaon Park on Tuesday 8.30pm onwards.
An initiative to reduce smoke emissions from different resources and to encourage people for saplings,the Brotherhood Foundation,conducted a programme,naming Go Green at the Hotel Aurora Tower on Saturday. The programme was organised essentially to make people aware about the climate change,its impact and how people can contribute in preserving the earth. Interestingly,the programme began with chief guest Vandana Chavan and guest of honour Abhijit Gorpade,assistant editor,Loksatta respectively,watering saplings. Chavan and Gorpade informed people about the deteriorating scenario of the earth due to incessant climate change and emphasised on segregating of garbage. The installation ceremony of the Brotherhood Foundation was also held. Ishwarji Goyal was elected as the president of the board,who will be taking care of the entire core curriculums of the team.
