If you happen to be an adventure junkie who enjoys spending your free time getting close and personal with nature,then National Education Foundation(NEF) has organised adventure activities at the backwaters of Kundalika river located in the forests below Mulshi and Bhira dam. The location is an appealing destination for thrill-seekers as the dam-enabled water rapids ranging from Grade two to Grade four make the river a favourite among those passionate about white water rafting. NEF will be providing with boarding,food,medical aid,rafting safety equipment and a rafting expert. Registrations ends on Friday October 2 at 6 pm.

Filmy gathering
Fame Fun N Shop,Fatemanagar and Dr Jabbar Patel,director,Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) had organised the special screening of the movie- Inglorious Basterds at the multiplex on Saturday September 26. Inglorious Basterds is a new movie directed by Hollywood ’s well-known director,Quentin Tarantino and has Brad Pitt in the lead role. The function began with cocktails and was followed by the screening of the film. Top corporate honchos and who’s who of Pune were spotted at the multiplex during the function. Some of the personalities present were Suresh Kalmadi,Amol Palekar,Tanushree Rakshit of Jhalak Dikhalaja fame and Hanif Hilal to name a few. Also,present on the occasion and seen welcoming the guests were Shyam Shroff,director,Fame Cinemas and Aditya Shroff,assistant vice president,programming distribution and corporate sales,Fame Cinemas.

BuddyChef,a chain of quick service restaurants has opened its 5 th outlet in the city at Paud Road. The outlet was ceremoniously inaugurated by veteran historian Babasaheb Purandare and noted film and theatre personality Prashant Damle. Xitij Joshi and Dilip Ambekar from BuddyChef were also present on the occasion. BuddyChef offers five different meal combos to its customers that has vegetarian and non-vegetarian options from the Indian and Chinese cuisine along with a special Chicken Biryani Combo. Snacks like momos,kathi rolls and cutlets in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian categories are also available in the outlet between 3pm and 7pm everyday.
