Police sub inspector Tukaram Khadke, the investigation officer of this case said, on special occasions, the Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Mandir Sansthan gives “Entry passes” to important persons for entering the Dnyaneshwar Maharaj temple in Alandi.

On Sunday, there was no special occasion, but still a few devotees came to the temple with “entry passes” having signatures of Shri Yogi Niranjan Nath Guru Shantinath, who heads the Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Mandir Sansthan.

The security guards at the temple realised that no such “Entry passes” were given to anyone on Sunday. So they informed the temple management about the fake passes. Subsequently, the police were informed and an FIR of forgery was lodged against Shivaji Patil.

“No arrest has been made yet. We have issued a notice to the accused. Further investigation is on. It is learnt that those devotees who came with fake passes at the Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj temple were linked to the “Dange Panch Dharmashala” in Alandi. The purpose behind preparing and issuing the fake passes is being investigated. So far we have not found any financial fraud in this case,” said sub inspector Khadke.
