Union minister of State for Rural Development Agatha Sangma, on Wednesday lauded the Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Boards (MSAMB) horticulture training centre for its efforts in promoting floriculture and polyhouse farming. Sangma was on a visit to the training centre situated at Talegaon Dabhade. Bhaskar Patil,principal,MSAMB was also present on the occasion.
Sangma said that the new advanced techniques and methods of farming adopted by the centre would benefit farmers all across the country. She said that the horticulture-training centre should try designing a training program of farmers from Meghlaya keeping in mind the natural resources and climate in the state. Also,Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Boards should co-operate with the Meghalaya government so that the farmers of the state can benefit, she said.
Horticulture training centre designs and delivers training programs in horticulture,which helps farmers to flourish in the market.
