Sai Sansthan member gets eight months jail

Judicial Magistrate (First Class) S Khedkar of Rahuri court sentenced Sai Sansthan’s member Krishna Chandra Pande to eight months imprisonment for threatening a business rival over a contract for removing minerals and stones from a well at Rahuri taluka on December 28,2001.

Pande,along with his associate,allegedly threatened the workers at the well with a gun,forcing them to flee. Following this,Pande’s men removed minerals worth Rs one lakh from the well. Later,Muhammed Makki,who had legal rights for mining minerals from the well,registered a complaint with the Rahuri police.
