Having showcased his works at exhibitions across India,artist Devidas Yetwate is showcasing his works at Malaka Spice till March 31. The exhibition primarily consists of landscapes in rural settings across the country. Noted for his use of bold brush strokes and colours,the works are all acrylic colours on canvas. The paintings are on display at Malaka Spice,Lane 5,North Main road,Koregaon park from 11 am to 11.30 pm

Entering in the fifth season of Nrutya Gaurav Mahakarandak 2013,their committee declared the names of the people who had contributed in an outstanding manner in the field of dance at an event at Shukrawar Peth earlier this week. Subhash Nakashe choreographer for films like Ajintha,Bharatiya and Mi Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy was honoured with the title Nrutya Gaurav Puraskar. The Nrutya Gaurav Chitrapat Puraskar for the Best Dancer (female) was bagged by Manasi Naik for her outstanding performance in the song Rikshawala ; whereas the Nrutya Gaurav Chitrapat Puraskar Best Dancer (male) and Nrutya Gaurav Chitrapat Puraskar Best film for Choreography was given to the team of Ayana Ka Bayana.

The Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park and Wildlife Research Centre,Katraj,is conducting a two-day workshop ‘An Introduction to the Zoo’. To be held on March 21 and 22,it will introduce the participants to various aspects of zoo management,animal upkeep,health and nutrition. Participants would also be exposed to the zoo kitchen where they can learn about nutritional requirements of various herbivore,carnivore and omnivore animals. They will also be exposed to tools and techniques of environment education such as skit and role play,which help to understand the concepts of environmental issues and biodiversity conservation.
