Restaurants plan special menus for Easter celebrations this weekend.
In Pune,every festival becomes an opportunity to feast big. Easter Sunday,celebrating the resurrection of Christ,will be no different as restaurants lay out their plans for a grand gourmet affair with special menus.
Cocoparra,the Kharadi restaurant,will have a sumptuous spread of European dishes such as spinach goat cheese and pesto stuffed chicken breast,barbeque pork chops and more. Its going to be a true feast with all kinds of meat lamb,pork,chicken,fish and vegetarian items too. Weve also planned an Easter pudding along with other desserts such as panna cotta, says chef Sheldon Engineer. The restaurant will also offer chocolate Easter eggs and have several activities to engage children.
Manchester United Cafe Bar has an afternoon planned for the entire family while parents enjoy the multi-cuisine Big Fat Easter Brunch,children can create their own Easter eggs at an egg-painting contest. Winners can win an official football from the Manchester United Club. The Brunch menu comprises items such as Gazpacho shots with garlic crostini,cottage cheese in black bean ginger sauce. 1Lounge on the other hand,will host a day of food and song,with live performances by DJs Anuj and Garry,as well as the local band Jet Set playing jive,retro and waltz tracks.
High Spirits is also combining music with their trademark cookouts this weekend. The Easter Cookout will feature food from the live grill,along with salads and dessert,which will be accompanied by performances by two bands Same Shit Different Day and Big City Harmonics.
New burger varieties such as southern fried cottage cheese burger and a juicy new lamb burger available at special discounts will be the highlight at Mad House Grill. The restaurant will also offer vegetarian and non-vegetarian platters with items such as spiced chicken kebab,garlic tossed beef strips,caraway fish,tossed veggie salad and more.
We get a lot of customers who celebrate Easter,such as expatriates. They really enjoy our steaks and burgers and so weve decided to launch new burgers on the occasion. We also have special platters and are planning a Portuguese dessert to end the meal, says Mayuri Kapasi,the owner.
