At 41.4 degrees, Pashan hottest place in Pune
Last week, Pune had experienced a break from searing heat with summer rains hitting the city.

After a brief respite, Pune again saw a spike in temperature with India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s Pashan automatic weather station (AWS) reporting a maximum temperature of 41.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
Last week, Pune had experienced a break from searing heat with summer rains hitting the city. Local disturbance and incursion of moisture had resulted in rain with thunder and lighting. Pashan incidentally had received the highest amount of rainfall in the city.
On Sunday, Pashan was the hottest place in Pune district, with Lohegaon coming a close second with a maximum temperature of 41 degrees.
Rajgurunagar came next clocking a maximum temperature of 40.5 degrees, while Shivajingar recorded a high of 39. 2 degrees.
Pashan recording the highest temperature in Pune district is a new given this region always records lower than Shivajinagar temperature.
Koregaon Park, Lohegaon, Magarpatta , Shirur, Dhamadere normally record higher temperature than other parts of the city.
This year, Pune has been experiencing an exceptionally hot summer which arrived early — in January temperatures crossed 35 degrees, making it the hottest January in the last decade.
