The 139th Defence Pension Adalat on April 7 and 8 at Dhanvantri Auditorium in the Armed Forces Medical College would be inaugurated by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. A press release from the Defence PRO said that the initiative aims to redress grievances of defence pensioners, including civilians, who have worked in the defence sector and are now residing in Maharashtra and adjoining states.
The Adalat would be organised by the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pensions), Allahabad, under the aegis of Controller General of Defence Accounts, New Delhi in consultation with the Ministry of Defence. A mobile pension camp would also be held at Sainik School, Satara, on April 9. Pensioners are requested to attend the Adalat to resolve pension issues between 8 am and 5 pm.
Pensioners are also requested to send their pension-related complaints in English or Hindi in duplicate by name to Ashish Sen, Pension Adalat Officer, Pr. CDA (Pensions), Draupadi Ghat, Allahabad – 211014. They should quote their name, rank, group, regimental/IC No.
PPO no., details of bank or treasury, unit or name and address of record office/head office, specific grievances, date of discharge, and their address with telephone numbers.
